Section 15:- That it shall be unlawful and an offaeviceooreposit <br />or cause uo be deposited w:ithin az y parking meter any slug, <br />substitute for a five cent coin of the United States of America, and of a <br />one cent coin of the Uni_ted States of America. <br />Section 16:- Ar~y individual, partnership, association or <br />corporation w=aviolate or permit or allow angone prdinance lshalltroi <br />or supervision to violate Sections 6, 7, 8 or 9 of thi.s s <br />upon conviction, be fined not less than One ($1.00) Do_llar and no costs. <br />Section 17:- Any individual) partnership, association, or <br />corporation 770sha violate or permit or allow anyone under his super- <br />vision or control to violate Sectio ns 1lt or 15 of this Ordinance shall <br />upon comTiction be fined not less than Five($5.00) Dollars nor more than <br />Twenty-five ($25.00) Dollars and aosts. <br />Section 18:- That the Chief Executive officer of the City of <br />Paris, `Pexas, shall desionate some person or persons to make collections <br />of all mone,y deposited in said pa.rking m~ters. It shall be the duty of <br />such person or persons so designated to remove from the parking meters <br />the coins so deposited in said meters, and to deliver such coins to the <br />Direct,or of Finance of the City o.f Paris, Texas. <br />It sha7.1 be the duty of the -)irector of Fi.nance of the <br />City of paris, Texas, to count all money so delivered to him and to <br />deposit such money to the credit of the City of Paris, `iexas, in the <br />City denository in a speci.al fund called "PARKIIJG ~vETER FUND", whieh <br />said fund shall be disbursed upon, the order and under the dire6tica2Y: <br />the City Council of the City of Yaris. <br />Section 19:- That Ordinance No. 1054 and all other ordinances <br />and parts of ordinances inconsistent or in conflict with any of the terms <br />or provisions of this Ordinance are hereby expressly repealed. <br />Section 20:- That if any sect=ion or pro-Tision or part of this <br />Ordinance shall b ged invalid or unconstitutional by a>COurt of <br />competent jurisdiction, such adjudication shall not affect the validity <br />of this Ordinance as a whole, or of any section, provis_on or p rt thereof <br />not so adjucxged invalid or unconstitutional, <br />Section 21:- That the fee required to be deposited in said <br />msters is hereby levied as a police regulation and inspection fee to cover <br />the cost of providing parking spaces, parkin; meters and installation a'1d <br />maintenance thereof, the cost of regulation and inspection, operation, <br />control and use of the parking meter spaces and zone s created herein; for <br />the regulation and control of traffic molTing in and out of, and parking in <br />said parking spaces and zones sa created; and for the cost of any resultant <br />traffic admir.istration expense. <br />Section 22:- This Ordinance shall become effect ive on March 18, <br />1949, such date being not less than ten (10) days from the date of the <br />passage of this Ordinance. <br />
