Alk 8. It shall be the duty of tue :dayor of tYie ~;ity of Paris, wit h approval of the Gity Council, at anq t ime when in his judg- ment there are mad or rabid dogs within the corporate limits of the City of paris and tne public health and safety is thereby endangered, to issue his proclamation authorizing and requiring tiie Uhief of 2olice or any policeman to kill,any dog, whetner vaccinated or inoculated or not and whettzer or not such dog is wearing the tag herrin provided for, found running at large within the corporate lim3ts of the City of Paris. 'I'he Chief of Police and all policemen are hersby authorized, without proclamation of the flayor, to kill any rabid dog within the copporate limits of tne City of i'aris. 9. .,,.ny owner, keeper or custodian of a dog found running at large within tlie corporate limits of the City of _'Paris contrary to the provisions of this ordinance, or who shall fail or refuse to pay the licenae fee provided herein, or who shall fail or refuse to have sucn dog vaccinated or inoculated as provided r;erein, or vrho shall violate any other provisions of this oruinance, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding UNE DOLLARS ($100.00 Each day tnat a dog is berL:itted to run at large in violation of this ordinance or that the ovaner, keeper or custodian thereoP fails or refuses to pay the license fee, or to nave the dog vac- cinated or inoculated as provided herein shall. constitute a sep- arate offense. 10. Ordinance number 920, Ordinance number 1118 and all other ordinanees or parts of ordinances in conflict aerevrith are hereby repealed. 11. 1'his ordinanee shall become effective ten days from and after the date of its passage. i'ASSED BY Trir.
