There is hereby levied upon every dog oivned, kept or corDorate harbored within the/limits of t.ie City of Paris an annual license fee of FIFTY CEIvTS (~s.50) against the owner, keeper or custodian thereof, to be naid by him to the :jirector o~.' Finance on or before the first day of "pril af eacu year. Upon preseritation of a cer- tificate ol vaccinatian or incculation,executvd by a licensed veterinarian within ten (10) days of the date of presentation, and payment of t'-:e annual license fee, the Ljirector of Finance shali deliver to the applicant a 7o.z*XE tag on which is stam-oed the words "Paris, Tex.as" and figures showing the ntunber of the tag and theyear for which the license fee was paid. Suc11 XUe11$ . tag shall be securely attached to a collar around the dog's neck and shall be kept so attached at all times duting the year for whic:a the license fee vJas paid. T'he Director oP r'inance shall pnrc..ase the sax:kx3 tags provicled for herein, 6. r,ll dogs found running at large vrithin the corporate liniits of t.Ue City of Paris in violation of triis ordinance shall be eaDtured and imPounded by the ChieT of Police or any polieeman of the Uity oi Paris or any other officer designated to so cto. Notice of sucti impounding snall be given by posting written notices containing a brieY description of the impounded dog in two Dublic places, one of such notices to be posted at the door of the City Hall of the Oity oi Paris azid one `.o be ppsted at the Uity Pound, or notice may be given by publication thereof one tlnle in the of- Yicial city news.9aper. Such notfce shall state that all impounded dogs not redeemed ae hereinafter provided wi.thin Yorty-eight (48) hours after publication will be destroyed. 7. The owner, keeper or custodian of any dog captured and impounded under the provisions hereof shall have the right to redeem such dog at any time within forty-eight (48) hours after posting or publication of notice of its capture and impounding and receive possession of sane upon payment of an impounding fee of THREE AED IVO/100 DOLZARS (~3.00) to the t%hief of rolice for each dog so redeeraed.
