HATHAWAY, Mayor, <br /> <br />CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT. <br /> <br />SIDEWALKS AND GUTTERS. <br /> <br />AN 0 RDIN ANCE to protect sidewalks and gutters. <br /> <br /> <br />Be it ordained by the city council of the city of Paris: <br /> <br />SEC.!. If the owner of any premises, when the same is un- <br />occupied, shall fail or refuse to keep the sidewalk and gutter in <br />front of any premises owned by them clear of all weeds, filth, or <br />rubbish of any kind, and also the whole of such premises or lot, <br />such owner shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction <br />thereof, shall be fined in any sum not less than one nor more than <br />twenty-five dollars, and each day he shall so fail shall éonstitute a <br />separate and disth}ct offense. <br />SEC. 2. If any occupant of any premises, when the same is <br />ocèupied, shall fail or refuse to keep the sidewalk and gutter in <br />front of, or adjoining such premises, and the whole of such prem- <br />ises, or lot clear of all weeds, filth, or rubbish of any kind, he <br />shall be fined in any sum not less than one nor more than twenty- <br />five dollars, and each day such person shall so fail or refuse shall <br />constitute a separate and distinct offense. <br />SEC. 3. That this ordinance takè effect and be in force from <br />and after its passage and ten days publication. <br />Adopted June 24, 1889, and approved by the mayor June <br />25, 1889.
