Comprehensive Plan, City of Paris, Texas <br />Municipal Services and Natural Features <br />The existing treatment plant is located approximately six miles north of the City _on U.S. <br />Highway 271 north of Pine Creek. The existing wastewater treatment plant consists of an <br />"Orbal" type activated sludge process preceded by a"biotower" roughing filter. Recent <br />improvements to the plant have been made, and some are cunently under construction. These <br />improvements raise the plant capacity to a design flow of 7.25 MGD average and a 2-hour peak <br />flow of 10 MGD. The plant is able to meet the NPDES 30-day average discharge limits of 20 <br />mg/1 BODS, 20 mg/1 TSS, 1 mg/1 chlorine residual and a pH between 6 and 9.
