SC, 8 LIQUIDATED DAMAGE FOR DELAY <br />The Contractor agrees that time is the essence of this contract, and <br />for each day of delay beyond the number of calendar days herein <br />agreed upon for completion of the work herein specified and con- <br />tracted for the Owner may withhold, permanetly from the Contractor's <br />total compensation, the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) per day stipulated <br />damages for such delay. <br />SC. 9 EXAMINATION OF PROJECT SITE <br />Prospective Bidder shall make careful examination of the site af the <br />project, soil, and water conditions to be encountered, improvements to <br />be protected, disgosal site for surplus materials, and as to method <br />of providing ingress and egress to the construction site, and method <br />of handZing vehicle and aircraft traffic during construction o.f the <br />entire proje<:t. <br />SC. 10 QUALIFICATION OF BIDDER <br />Before being awarded a contract the l.ow bidder sl-iall submit such evidence <br />as the EngineEr may require to establish his experience, and possessior <br />of equipment as may be needed to prosecute the work in an expedious, <br />safe and satisfactory manner. <br />Should the J.aw bidder fail to produce evidence satistactory to the <br />Engineer on any foregoing points he may be disqualified and the work <br />awarded to *2ze next low bid so qualifying. <br />SC. 11 ADDENDA <br />Bidder desiring further information on, or interpretation of, The Plans <br />or Specifications must make request for such information to The Engineer <br />prior to 48 hours befpre Bid Opening. Answer to all such requests will <br />be given in writing to all bidders, in P.ddendum Form, and all Addenda <br />will be bound with, and made a part of the Contract Documents. <br />SC. 12 COMPLIANCE WITH CODES AND ORDIIvADICES <br />All work perfarmed under this Contract shall meet or exceed the minimum <br />requirements of the NaL-ional, State, arid City Building Codes and <br />Ordinances. <br />SC. 13 RIGHT-OF-WAY <br />The owner wzll provide right-of-way for the purpose of constructing the <br />improvements in case it is necessary ta change or move the property <br />af any Public Litility, such property shall not be moved or interfered <br />with until vrdered to do so by the Fngineer. <br />SC-2 <br />
