5. Music Library. Needs extensive work to sort and re-catalog the contents of the <br /> library. Most of the filing cabinets and storage lockers are in <br /> disrepair or need replacing. <br /> <br />6. Adult musicians. There are not enough active adults musicians in this area <br /> that participate. <br /> <br />7. Mr. Nuegent's Time. More hours than were anticipated were required to <br /> organize the 2001 season. <br /> <br />Following Mr. Nuegent's report Dr. James Brunette and Edmond Castleberry agreed to <br />meet with City officials on Monday, August 20, 2001 to discuss availability of chairs. <br /> <br />After a lengthy discussion, it was recommended that bandmembers receive $25 per <br />concert. <br /> <br />Also of concern was the future availability of the PHS facilities. <br /> <br />Following a review of budget line items, a motion made by Albert Nichol, seconded by <br />Dr. James Brunette, passed unanimously that the proposed 2002 budget be revised to <br />$19,952. The budget is attached and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />In other action, a motion made by Dr. James Brunette, seconded by Albert Nichol, <br />passed unanimously appointing Mr. Tom Nuegent as Director of the Paris Municipal <br />Band beginning with the 2002 season. A letter will be composed by Edmond Castleberry <br />and signed by all commission members will be sent to Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Weger to <br />inform them of this change. <br /> <br />With no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />
