R ESCLUTION NO. 1499 <br />WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City <br />Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, that Tracis1 and 2, <br />hereinafter described, belonging to Rayford Walker and Covy <br />Williaxns, respectively, were at their request, by Ordinance No. <br />2059, passed December 13, 1971, chan ged from a One-Family <br />Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2) to a Planned Development District <br />(PD), Shopping Center, Fire Limits; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that when <br />property re-zoned for the purpose of development to some zoning <br />other than that of the adjacent property, that after a reason- <br />able period of time without the proposed development occurring, <br />that said property should be back zoned to the classification <br />it previously had; and, <br />WHER EAS, the property herein being considered, is de- <br />scribed in two tracts, as fol.lows: <br />TRACT 1: Situated within the corporate limits of <br />the City of Paris, Lamar County, Texas, being Lot 3, <br />City Block 287, and being a tract of land owned by <br />Rayford Walker, more particularly described as follows: <br />A perimeter survey of three tracts of land owned <br />by Wayne White and being a part of the Wyatt D1o Hay <br />Partition of Block A in the J. Leach Survey, located <br />approximately 2 miles East of Paris, Lamar County, <br />Texas. <br />Beginning at a stake 39' N 79 W from State <br />Highway Monument at Station 268/50 of Loop #286, the <br />same being the N. W. Corner of a 19.7 acre tract owned <br />by Covy Williams and the N. E. Corner of a 15 acre <br />tract owned by Wayne White; <br />Thence South 1585.5' a stake; <br />Thence West 447.7' a stake; <br />Thence N1-30 E 1190' a stake; <br />Thence West 119' a stake; <br />Thence North 274.2' a stake in the South Boundary <br />Line of Hi ghway #82 ; <br />Thence East along said boundary line 100' a stake; <br />Thence N 87-10 E along the South B. L. of said <br />highway 398' a conc. monument. <br />Thence South 79 East 78' to the place of beginning <br />containing 15.85 acres. <br />TRACT 2: Situated within the corporate limits of <br />the City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, <br />a part of the Joseph Leach Survey, axld being a part of <br />a 19.7 acre tract of land conveyed Covy Williams by deed <br />recorded in Vol. 355, Page 201, of the Deed Records of <br />said County and State, being Lot 4, City Block 287, and <br />being a tract of land owned by Covy Williams, more par- <br />ticularly described as follows: <br />Beginning at a stake for corner in the West <br />Boundary Line of said Williams tract, sai d point being <br />265 ft. North of the Southwest corner of said tract, <br />said point for corner being the Northwest corner of a <br />3 acre tract of land conveyed the United Pentecostal <br />Church by Covy Williams; <br />
