RESOLUTION NO. 1482 <br />WHEREAS, an election was held by the qualified voters of the City <br />of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the 4th day of April, 1972, for the purpose <br />of voting for and electing four (4) members of the City Council of the <br />City of Paris to serve for the ensuing two (2) years, to-wit: <br />l. <br />Councilman <br />From <br />Ward <br />One (1) <br />2. <br />Councilman <br />From <br />Ward <br />1~vo (2) <br />3. <br />Councilman <br />From <br />Ward <br />Three (3) <br />4. <br />Councilman <br />From <br />Ward <br />Four (4) <br />WHEREAS, as required by law and directed and provided by the <br />Charter and Ordinances of the City of Paris, such election was con- <br />ducted and held at four (4) specified and designated polling places, <br />that is, one polling place in each of the four (4) wards of the City <br />of Paris, Paris, Texas; and, <br />WHEREAS, sealed returns of said election, made by the duly ap- <br />pointed and designated election officials of and for the four (4) re- <br />spective voting boxes, have been made to the Mayor and City Council <br />of the City of Paris, as required by law, which returns after due and <br />deliberate review and canvass thereof, show the following results of <br />said election, to-wit: <br />(1) IN WARD ONE (1) A TOTAL OF 493 VOTES WERE CAST AS FOLLOWS: <br />For Councilman From Ward One: M. C. (Mack) Weaver, 87 votes; <br />Doyle Whitaker, 240 votes; <br />Jeff Hoog, 162 votes. <br />For Councilman From Ward Two: John P. Crabtree, Jr., 99 votes; <br />Ben M. Hinds, 383 votes. <br />For Councilman From Ward Three: F. D. Mallory III, 445 votes. <br />For Councilman From Ward Four: James M. Brunette, 391 votes; <br />Floyd Bass, 54 votes; <br />James W. (Jim) Martin, 38 votes. <br />(2) IN WARD TWO (2) A TOTAL OF 105 VOTES WERE CAST AS FOLLOWS: <br />For Councilman From Ward One: <br />M. C. (Mack) Weaver, 27 votes; <br />Doyle Whitaker, 57 votes; <br />Jeff Hoog, 17 votes. <br />For Councilman From Ward Two: <br />John P. Crabtree, Jr., 29 votes; <br />Ben M. Hinds, 71 votes. <br />For Councilman From Ward Three: F. D. Mallory III, 101 votes. <br />For Councilman From Ward Four: James M. Brunette, 74 votes; <br />Floyd Bass, 15 votes; <br />James W. (Jim) Martin, 16 votes. <br />
