RESOLUTION NO. 1475 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris continues <br />its interest heretofore stated in Resolution No. 1360 of <br />March 9, 1970, in participating in the TOPICS Program; and, <br />WHEREAS, in order to participate in said Program, it is <br />necessary and required of the City of Paris to furnish design <br />and prepare construction plans and specifications for the in- <br />stallation, revision and/or improvement of traffic si gnal in- <br />stallations at various locations within the City of Paris; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and advisable to hire an <br />engineering consulting organization to furnish all necessary <br />professional services described in Paragraph 1 of Exhibit A <br />attached hereto; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to the City's best interest that its <br />Engineering Department provide services described in Paragraph <br />2a of Exhibit A attached hereto; and, <br />WHEZFAS, the City Manager of the City of Paris has, as in- <br />structed by the City Council on February 14, 1972, received an <br />offer of employment for professional services from the firm of <br />Pinnell-Anderson-Wilshire and Associates, Inc., as set out in <br />the contract attached hereto as Exhibit A and made a part here- <br />of ; NOW, THIIZEFORE, <br />BE IT RFSOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />That the Mayor, James W. Farris, be, an d he is hereby au- <br />thorized and directed to enter into a contract for professional <br />services with Pinnell-Anderson-Wilshire and Associates, Inc., <br />in the specific form as set out in Exhibit A attached hereto. <br />APP VED TO FORM: <br />T.
