3, Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (June 18, 2012) <br />Motion was made by Zack Saffle and seconded by Ryan Lassiter to approve the <br />minutes for the June 18, 2012 meeting. <br />Motion carried unanimously. 6-0 <br />4, Public Hearing to consider presentations bYties who have been g'► en noticenof <br />owner(s) and/or lien holder(s) of the below p oper <br />a violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, <br />Paris, Texas, entitled "Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures": <br />A. Main Tire; Lot 1, City Block 57 <br />Owner: Ben Faber, Jeffrey L and Sarah M Faber 11548 US Hwy 271 N. Arthur <br />City, TX 75411 <br />Robert Talley stated that he has spoken with Jeff Faber and knows that Sarah <br />Faber is aware of the problems with the property. Robert stated that repair work <br />has started and a dumpster has been put at the property. A demolition permit has <br />been applied for with the City of Paris. Robert pointed out the deterioration of the <br />building; the wood is sagging and pulling away from the structure. The <br />demolition is on the building behind the tire store. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Table the property for 60 days and bring it back <br />to the October meeting and look at the progress. <br />Vicky Ballard arrived at the meeting - 4:09pm <br />Don Wilson stated that the front porch is collapsing; painting and straightening up <br />will not help the building. Don doesn't want Robert Talley telling the property <br />owner one thing and the Commission not backing him up. Zack Saffle stated that <br />we can only work what we can see at this time. Johnny Norris asked if the boards <br />are a public hazard. Robert Talley answered yes; the public could be in danger. <br />Zack asked why we would table this property. Johnny Norris stated that 60 days <br />was too long. Don Wilson asked if the Fire Marshall could inspect this property. <br />Robert Talley stated he would get with the Fire Marshall to check on the <br />Certificate of Occupancy and see if they will inspect the property. Don Wilson <br />stated that this property is and eyesore. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Wendell Moore to fix the <br />the <br />awning where the loose board ase then brithl erty back tos he next <br />property within the next 30 day g ths prp <br />meeting. Mr. Lee stated that he is fixing the broken windows but there are <br />windows he has opened that are not broken.
