RESOLUTION N0. 1295 <br />A RESOLUTION ORDE <br />TUESDAY IN APRIL, 1969, <br />TWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00 <br />THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF <br />PURPOSE OF ELECTING THE <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR <br />3ING AN ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE FIRST <br />SAME BEING THE 1 ST DAY OF XRIL, 1969, BE.. <br />O'CLOCK A.M. AND 7:00 OtCLOCK P.M., BY <br />THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, FOR THE <br />FOLLOWING COUNCILMEN TO SERVE AS MIIKBIlRS <br />THE ENSUING TWO YEARS. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That an election be held by the qualified voters <br />of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the first Tuesday in April, <br />1969, same being the 1st day of April, 1969, between the hours of <br />8:00 o'clock A.M. and 7:00 o'clock P.M., for the purpose of elect-- <br />ing three (3) members of the City Council of the City of Paris, <br />as follows: <br />Three Councilmen at Large <br />as provided in Section 16 of Article III of the Charter of the City <br />of Paris, adopted on November 2, 1948, and in accordance with <br />Article IX of the Charter of the City of Paris, adopted November 2, <br />1948, such Councilmen to serve for the ensuing two years. <br />Section 2. That the polling places and election officials of <br />such election shall be as follows: <br />Ward One (1 ) : <br />Polling Place: Central Fire Station <br />Officials: Mr. W. J. Johnson , Presiding Judge <br />Mrs. R. H. Lower , Judge <br />War d Two (2): <br />Polling Place: Grand Hotel Lobby <br />Officials: Mrs. Hugh Collins , Presiding Judge <br />Nlrs. Elizabeth Tompkins , Judge <br />War d Thr e e (3): <br />Polling Place: Lamar County Courthouse Basement <br />Officials: Mrs. W. S. Biard , Presiding Judge <br />Mrs. Fred Shaef'f'er , Judge <br />Ward Four (4): <br />Polling Place: Paris High School Gymnasium <br />Officials: Mrs. H. L. Hollis , Presiding Judge <br />Mrs. Sam Ausmus , Judge <br />Section 3. The Presiding Judge of the respective voting <br />boxes shall designate and appoint such additional, competent and <br />qualified clerks for such respective polling places and voting <br />boxes as may be required, if any, f'or the efficient conduct of <br />said election. <br />
