Section 4. Such election shall be held in accordance with <br />the laws of the State of Texas governing general and municipal <br />elections, insofar as the same may be applicable, and with the <br />provisions of the City Charter and Ordinances of the City of Paris. <br />Section 5. The Chief of Police of the City of Paris is <br />hereby directed and instructed to post a properly executed Notice <br />of Election pursuant to this order for election, signed by the <br />Mayor of the City of Paris, at each of the polling places desigM <br />nated above, which said notice of election shall by him be posted <br />not less than thirty (30) days prior to said election; further, a <br />properly executed copy of such Notice of Election shall be pub- <br />lished one time in the Paris News, the official newspaper of the <br />City of Paris and a newspaper of general circulation in said City, <br />which notice shall be published not less than twenty (20)days be- <br />fore said election. <br />Section 6. The pay of the judges and clerks of said election <br />is hereby authorized and established as follows: $12.50 per day <br />for each judge and clerk; the election judge who delivers the re- <br />turns of said election immediately after the votes have been <br />counted to the proper office shall be paid an additional sum of <br />$5.00 for that service, provided also, he shall make return of all <br />election supplies not used when he makes returns of such election. <br />Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris <br />in regular meeting at the City Hall of said City thi.s 10th day of <br />February, 1969. <br />J es R.
