MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF <br />MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD <br />THURSDAY, AUGUST 15, 2001 <br />12:00 PM (NOON) <br /> CITY HALL, CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> <br />Present Board Members <br />Bill Payne, Patsy Davis, David House, Mary Ann Chalaire, <br />Robyn Zimmerman, Lisa Spann, Suzy Harper, Barbara Wilson <br /> <br />Present Guests: John Nance, Main Street Merchant <br /> <br />Absent: Linda Suarez <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Discussion of meeting with Structural Engineer Steve Lucy <br />and Masonry Contractor Matt Henson <br /> <br />Maria Pope reported that these individuals met with her, Terry <br />Townsend, and Mark Johnson to assess that structural damage <br />to the Bywaters Park peristyle and the Culbertson Fountain. The <br />contractors agreed to submit a report on their assessments for <br />potential/future grants. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Discussion of the President's Awards by the Texas Downtown <br />Association <br /> <br />Maria Pope suggested the following merchants be submitted for <br />the awards: Moore Law Firm, Encore, House Dressing, Plaza <br />Theater, Center Stage Antiques, and Heritage Hall. Lisa Spann <br />confirmed the recommendation for the Plaza Theater for "Best <br />Public Improvement Project." Bill Payne suggested the Wells <br />Building, next to Hibernia Bank for an "Best Adaptive Reuse." <br />The board agreed for the entry of House Dressing for "Best Store <br />Interior" and Center Stage Antiques for "Best Rehabilitation <br />Project." The Board also confirmed the entry of Heritage Hall <br /> <br /> <br />
