DISMANTLEMENT OF MATERIALS/COMPONENTS TO BE RETAINED: <br /> <br /> A. After verification of extent of dismantlement work, carefully remove material indicated <br /> so as to preserve material in its entirety. If dismantling material systems, work <br /> shall proceed in an orderly manner and be conducted so as to preserve as much <br /> of the entire system as possible. All dismantlement work shall be conducted so <br /> as to yield salvaged materials in good condifion suitable for reuse. <br /> <br /> B. All dismantled materials shall be tagged and logged in list form and list submitted to <br /> Construction Manager. Carefully store all salvaged materials in an orderly manner in a <br /> protected location or location designated by Construction Manager until reuse. <br /> <br />3.04. C~G: <br /> <br /> A. All concrete shall be cut with a blade prior to removal, with water applied to control <br /> dusting. Over cutting shall not be permitted. Any damage due to over cutting must be <br /> repaired by ContractoRs) at his sole cost. <br /> <br />3.05. DUE CARE: <br /> <br /> A. All work shall be executed in an orderly and careful manner, with due consideration for <br /> all materials and items to be reused, and the Contractor(s) shall be strictly responsible <br /> for any damages thereto. <br /> <br />3.06. UTILITIES: <br /> <br /> A. Water facilities shall be available and in operating condition at all times <br /> <br /> A. Abandoned utility lines shall be sealed and marked. <br /> <br />3.07. EXCAVATION: <br /> <br /> A. Where excavating is required for the removal of foundations, utilities, etc., the resultant void <br /> shall be bacldilled so as to provide positive drainage with respect to the building and site. <br /> <br />3.08. OBSTRUCTIONS: <br /> <br /> A. Demolish and remove existing paving, piping, drainage, elecUical lines, boxes and other <br /> obstructions or encumbrances of any kind or character as indicated on the <br /> Drawings within the Contract Zone, unless otherwise directed by Conslruction Manager. <br /> <br />3.09 PROCEDURES <br /> <br /> A. The Contractor(s) shall provide for safe conduct of the work, careful removal and <br /> disposition of materials, protection of property, and coordination with other work in <br /> progress.
