As specified in Divisions 00 and 01 apply to ail work in this Section.. <br /> <br />1.02 DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> A. Work Included: Provision of all masonry restoration work including brick <br /> replacement, repointing of deteriorated masonry joints, and dry brush removal of <br /> post-construction efflorescence or "bloom." <br /> <br /> B. Published specifications, standards, tests, or recommended methods of trade, <br /> industry, or governmental organizations apply to work of this Section, as <br /> follows: <br /> I. Standard Building Code, 1994, Chapter 24, as amended by the City of Paris <br /> Texas. <br /> <br />1.03 TESTING & ANALYSIS: <br /> A. Anaiysis: Results of analysis and testing of brick and mortar to determine materiai <br /> composition and formulate mortar mix design is included in Appendix A of this <br /> Project Manual. <br /> <br />1.04 SD'BM/TI'ALS: <br /> A. Samples: Prepare field samples for Architect's review of materiais, application, <br /> texture and color: <br /> 1. Prepare 2' x 2' Mock-up panels of brick replacement and masonry repointing <br /> for Architects and Owner's approvai. Mock-up shail be separate from the <br /> building - do not use the building for the Mock-up. Resubmit samples as <br /> requested by Architect until acceptable application, color, and texture is <br /> achieved. <br /> <br /> 2. The mock-up process is required in order to achieve an aestheticaily and <br /> functionaily compatible mortar and brick repair color match and installation <br /> methodology.
