Repointing and repair work should only be performed when the wall temperature is <br /> between 40 degrees and 95 degrees (F) to prevent freezing and excessive evaporation. <br /> During hot weather, repoint on shady side of building to stow the mortar d~ing. <br /> <br /> L. Clean-Up: Remove all excess mortar from work progresses and clean any mortar <br /> droppings immediately. Take all necessary precautions to prevent damage to <br /> adjacent work. Leave work clean and ready to receive subsequent work. <br /> <br /> M. No water repellent or waterproof coatings are to be applied. <br /> <br /> J. Effiuorescence or "bloom" shall be removed by dry brushing with stiff natural or <br /> nylon bristle brushes and water. The use of hydrochloric (muriatic) acid is expressly <br /> forbidden.
