Marble: Provide "Rojo Jupirano" marble or Architect approved equal, as required to <br /> provide the best available match for historic marble in terms of color, pattern and texture. <br /> <br /> B. Provide all materials, blocking and accessories necessary for fabrication and installation of <br /> marble wainscoting, countenops and toilet stalls. <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 INSPECTION: <br /> <br /> A. Fabricator must examine areas and conditions under which marble work is to be executed <br /> and notify Construction Manager in writing of conditions detrimental to proper and timely <br /> completion of work. Do not proceed with work until unsatisfactory conditions have <br /> been corrected in an acceptable manner. <br /> <br /> B. Starting of work will be construed as Applicator's acceptance of surfaces and conditions <br /> within any particular area. <br /> <br /> C. Do not begin work until consultation with and written verification from Construction <br /> Manager of: <br /> <br /> 1. Replacement Areas to Receive Replica Marble: Specific areas which are to receive <br /> in-kind material. <br /> <br /> 2. Repair Areas: Specific areas in which cracked or damaged maffole is to be repaired <br /> by patching and/or filling with in-kind material. <br /> <br /> 3. Reuse Materials: Salvaged original marble designated for reuse. <br /> <br />3.02 FABRICATION <br /> <br /> A, General: Fabricate marble components as required to replicate in-kind or to repair (patch <br /> and/or fill) and reuse salvaged original marble. Use materials and techniques best suited <br /> type of material being utilized. <br /> <br /> B. Scheduling: Do not commence fabrication until Samples and Shop Drawings have been <br /> approved and verification of areas to be repaired and/or replaced have been approved by <br /> Construction Manager. <br /> <br /> C. Completed Work: Match approved Samples for color, texture and finish. Remove and <br /> replace work not in compliance with specified requirements or approved Sample. <br /> <br /> D. All work (materials, methodology, etc.)must be in accordance with National Parks <br /> Service Technical Bulletins and Preservation Briefs for historic rehabilitation of historic <br /> interiors. <br /> <br /> Section 04920 <br /> Page 2-3 <br /> <br /> <br />
