Miscellaneous Handles & Pulls <br /> c. Passage or Privacy Sets <br /> d. Other Original or Replica Hardware, existing or missing, as necessary to <br /> provide a complete hardware set for each location. <br /> e. New deadbolt <br /> f. New Door Bumper <br /> <br /> Group 8: New Hardware <br /> a. Hasp Lockset <br /> <br />2.03 FASTENINGS: <br /> <br /> A. Furnish necessary screws, bolts, and other fastenings for proper application of <br /> hardware. Fastenings shall be of suitable size and type of securing hardware for <br /> heavy use. Fastenings must harmonize with the hardware as to material and finish. <br /> <br /> B. Furnish necessary expansion shields, toggle bolts, machine or wood screws or other <br /> suitable approved anchoring devices where hardware is to be installed on concrete, <br /> masonry or other types of backing. <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 EXISTING HARDWARE RESTORATION <br /> <br /> A. Existing historic hardware which has been designated by the Architect for restoration <br /> and reuse shall be removed, catalogued, cleaned, replated and returned to fully functional <br /> condition. If existing historic hardware is determined to be unsuitable for restoration, <br /> provide new historically compatible hardware to match new hardware scheduled for <br /> similar installations. <br /> <br />3.02 INST^I.I.ATION: <br /> <br /> A. Mount hardware units at heights indicated in 'Recommended Locations for Builders <br /> Hardware for Standard Steel Doors and Frames and ADA" by the Door and <br /> Hardware Institute, except as specifically indicated or required to comply wilh <br /> governing ADA regulations, and except as may be otherwise directed by Architect <br /> Existing original hardware shall be reinstalled in original location unless otherwise <br /> directed by Architect. <br /> <br /> B. Install each hardware item in compliance with the manufacturer's instructions and <br /> recommendations. Whenever cutting and fitting is required to install hardware onto <br /> or into surfaces which are later to be painted or finished in another way, <br /> coordinate removal, storage and reinstallation or application of surface protections <br /> with finishing work specified in the Section 9900 Painting.
