0990 RES ORDERING ELECTION TO BE HELD ON FIRST TUESDAY IN APRIL 1962

Ward Four (4): Polling Place: Paris High School Gymnasium Officials: Mrs. H. L. Hollis , Presiding Judge Mrs. A. N. Nolan , Judge Mrs. R. K. Record , Clerk Mrs. Peter Barnett , Clerk Section 3. The Presiding Judge of the respective voting boxes shall desig- nate and appoint such additional, competent and qualified clerks for such re- spective polling places and voting boxes as may be required, if any, for the efficient conduct of said election. Section 4. Such election sha.ll be held in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas governing general and municipal elections, insofar as the same may be applicable, and with the provisions of the City Charter and Ordinances of the City of Paris. Section 5. The Chief of Police of the City of Pa,ris is hereby directed and instructed to post a properly executed Notice of Electi.on pursua.nt to this order for election, signed by the Mayor of the City of Paris, at each of the polling places designa,ted above, which sa.id notices of election shall by him be posted not less than thirty (30) days prior to said election; further, a properly executed copy of such Notice of Election shall be published one time in the Paris News, the official newspaper of the City of Paris and a newspaper of general circula- tion in said City, which notice shall be published not less than twenty (20) days before said election. Section 6. The pay of the judges and clerks of said election is hereby au- thorized and eata.blished as follows: $8. 00 per day for each judge and clerk; the election judge who delivers the returns of the said election immediately after the votes haue been counted to the proper office shall be paid an additional sum of $2. 00 for that service, provided also, he aha.ll make return of all electi.on supplies not used when he makes returns of such election.
