City Council Meeting
September 10, 2001
Page 13

Mayor Pfiester announced that the next item on the agenda was for the City
Council to provide additional direction to city staff and clarification on the fee
for rental hangars, including fees for the new T-Hangars.

Tommy Haynes, Director of Community Development, came forward
explaining that he felt that the new T-Hangars should fall into the price range
of $125.00 for the hangars that fall in the square footage of 1,008, and for the
hangars that have square footage of 1,134 the cost should be $140.00. City
Manager Malone said the fee for the open hangars would be $55.00, the
hangars under A of the schedule would be $110.00, item B of the schedule
would be $125.00, and item C of the schedule would be $150.00.

Vic Ressler came forward advising that there are six, old hangars at the airport
that do not have electric doors or doors that lock. He said originally they rented
for $85.00 and the Airport Advisory Board has recommended that the rent be
increase to $95.00. The schedule shows a vote by the City Council for the fee
to be $110.00. Mr. Ressler stated that the City Council may not have known
that these six hangars were a different size along with being old. Mr. Ressler
said it was his recommendation that these hangars rent for $90.00 a month.

After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman McCarthy that rent for
Category A be reduced from $110.00 to $100.00 per month, for Category B the
rental fee change from $100.00 to $125.00 per month, for Category C the
hangar rental fee be set for $150.00 per month; and the new T-hangars with
square footage of 1,008 be set for $125.00 a month, and the ones with a square
footage of 1,134 be set at $140.00 per month. The motion was seconded by
Councilman Plata and carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.

Mayor Pfiester called for consideration of and action on directing the City
Manager and City Attorney to negotiate an agreement with StarNet Online
Systems for non-exclusive use of the City's water tower for the placement of
antennas.
