We accomplish that <br />primarily by buildin� affordable hames and providing down payment assistanee to low and <br />made�ate incume families throughout Paris and the surrounding counties, stimulating economic <br />growth and restoring ncighborhoods. Paris Living has woticed to benefit the community <br />through several activities, includin�: spearheading the dream and effort to revitalize Paris <br />neighborhoods and make the Ciry a desirablc place to i�ve and work; building new affordable <br />housin� For families �vhose incomes are between 40% and 80% of the median household <br />income for Lamar County; bailding infill homes o�i donated vacant (ots in established <br />neighborhoods, demolis{�ing burned out and dilapidated inner city houses; providing <br />information for major area employers regarding employee housing related problems; <br />stimulating the development in the downtown core area; and brin�ing other communiry <br />or�anizations together to work toward a eommon boal. <br />Paris Living has directty assisted over 60 low +ncome families become first time homeowners <br />throu�h providin�, down payment assistance to purcliase new and existing homes in tl�e Ciry and <br />tl�e surrounding four counties of Latnar, Red River, Fannin and Delta. fn ttddition, Paris <br />Livin�'s contracted consultant has over twenty-two years experience in l�omebuyer assistance <br />progrdms and over nineteen years experience working with programs funded by the Texas <br />Department of i-lousing and Community AFfairs (TDI-[CA). In that time, he has lielped <br />thousands of low income families throughout Texas become first time homeowners. If seleeted, <br />Mr. Hunter, on belialF oP Paris Living, �vil[ have the primary responsibility for the successful <br />completinn of the City's contract with TDHCA.
