MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND <br /> ZONING COMMISSION ' -~ <br /> OCTOBER 1, 2001 <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission met Monday, October 1, 2001, 5:30 <br />P.M., Paris Junior College, Applied Technology Building, Room 1016, 2400 <br />Clarksville Street, Paris, Texas with the following members present: <br /> <br />1. Reeves Hayter <br />2. Bill Coleman <br />3. Barbara Forrest <br /> <br />4. Louis Yates <br />5. Marshall Kent <br />6. Curtis Fendley <br /> <br />Steve Methven, the building official was also present. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Reeves Hayter. <br /> <br />The minutes from the September 4, 2001, regular planning and zoning <br />meeting were approved with a motion by Curtis Fendley and seconded <br />by Marshall Kent. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Public Hearing to consider the petition of Jerome Chapman for a <br />change in zoning from a Two-Family Dwelling District (2F) to a <br />Neighborhood Service District (NS), Lot 1, City Block 227, being <br />number 1707 Pine Bluff. <br /> <br />This item was tabled at the September 4, 2001 meeting. <br /> <br />Motion was made to bring from table by Curtis Fendley and seconded <br />by Louis Yates. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br />Caroline King, 322 17th NE, spoke in favor of the petition stating that <br />she has a trailer on the lot to use as a concession stand. The concession <br />stand would be temporary until Jerome Chapman sells the property or <br />build on the property that would suit Neighborhood Service zoning. A <br />letter from Jerome Chapman requesting the zoning change was readby <br />Reeves Hayter. <br /> <br /> <br />
