Minutes of the Regular City Council Meeting <br />October 4, 2001 <br />Page 13 <br />sewer service to properties and property owners located in subdivisions <br />generally described as the Cope Addition, Suburban Estates Addition, Golden <br />Acre addition, and certain tracts in the E. Crow Survey, along Meadowlark <br />Street, Mockingbird Street, Cope Street, Pine Mill Road, Thomas Drive and <br />Welch Circle, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman McCarthy, <br />seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, for approval of the resolution. The <br />motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2001-171, declaring a 0.0281 acre tract of land located at 27tn <br />Street N. E. and Hickory to be surplus and authorizing the sale of said property <br />to Brad Shelton dba Paris Suzuki Kawasaki in accordance with state law and <br />at fair market value, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, <br />seconded by Councilman Plata, for approval of the resolution. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2001-172 authorizing the City Manager to execute and the City <br />Clerk to attest to a Letter of Consent by and between the City of Paris and <br />Meridian Alliance Group, LLC, and its client, Swatsell, Inc., for the siting of <br />a ground water monitoring well in the right-of way (former Kiamichi Railroad <br />easement) located in the 1100 Block of N. Main Street in the City of Paris, was <br />presented. A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, seconded by <br />Councilman Carter, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2001-173, approving and authorizing an interlocal contract <br />pursuant to Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code by and between the <br />City and the County of Lamar for repair of a portion of a road known as Old <br />Brookston Road between the intersection of said road with FM 137, north and <br />east to the intersection of said road with Southwest Loop 286 to provide <br />improved access to citizens and property annexed to the City of Paris, was <br />presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Mayor Pro <br />Tem Manning, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 5 ayes, 1 <br />nays, Councilman Plata voting no. <br />
