Minutes of the Regular City Council Meeting October 4, 2001 Page 13 sewer service to properties and property owners located in subdivisions generally described as the Cope Addition, Suburban Estates Addition, Golden Acre addition, and certain tracts in the E. Crow Survey, along Meadowlark Street, Mockingbird Street, Cope Street, Pine Mill Road, Thomas Drive and Welch Circle, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 2001-171, declaring a 0.0281 acre tract of land located at 27tn Street N. E. and Hickory to be surplus and authorizing the sale of said property to Brad Shelton dba Paris Suzuki Kawasaki in accordance with state law and at fair market value, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Plata, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 2001-172 authorizing the City Manager to execute and the City Clerk to attest to a Letter of Consent by and between the City of Paris and Meridian Alliance Group, LLC, and its client, Swatsell, Inc., for the siting of a ground water monitoring well in the right-of way (former Kiamichi Railroad easement) located in the 1100 Block of N. Main Street in the City of Paris, was presented. A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, seconded by Councilman Carter, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 2001-173, approving and authorizing an interlocal contract pursuant to Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code by and between the City and the County of Lamar for repair of a portion of a road known as Old Brookston Road between the intersection of said road with FM 137, north and east to the intersection of said road with Southwest Loop 286 to provide improved access to citizens and property annexed to the City of Paris, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 5 ayes, 1 nays, Councilman Plata voting no.
