Minutes of the Regular City Council Meeting <br />October 4, 2001 <br />Page 5 <br />No one else appeared, and the public hearing was declared closed. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2001-067 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES <br />ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING <br />A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2) WITH SPECIFIC <br />USE PERMIT (25) DAY CARE ON LOT 24, CITY BLOCK 4, MAYER <br />ADDITION, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TH WATSON MALCOM, SO <br />AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS <br />A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2); DESIGNATING <br />THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 <br />(SF-2) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (25) DAY CARE SO ESTABLISHED; <br />PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING <br />AL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br />HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE, WAS <br />PRESENTED. <br />City Attorney Schenk discussed with those opposing the zoning change of the <br />possibility of agreeing to the daycare with a limit of twelve children at any <br />given time. The opposition did agree to the limit of twelve children at any <br />given time. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Plata for adoption of the <br />ordinance with an amendment that will allow for the Day Care to have only <br />twelve children at any given time. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Carter. The motion carried 6 ayes 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2001-068 <br />
