AGENDA INFORMATION SHEET <br />PROJECT: Consider a resolution authorizing the purchase of one (1) model year 2002, 4 wheel drive <br />loader/backhoe for the Water/Sewer Division of the Public Works Department from the Houston-Galveston <br />Area Council of Governments/Cooperative Purchasing Program (HGAC). <br />BACKGROUND: This purchase was approved by the City Council at its November 12, 2001, regular Council <br />meeting. After the purchase was approved, the HGAC revised its vendor specifications and bids for said <br />equipment which failed to meet the City's minimum specifications. <br />DESCRIPTION: Approval ofthe proposed resolution will repeal the prior resolution approving the purchase <br />of the equipment through the HGAC and authorize the City to advertise for bids. <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the proposed resolution. <br />STAFF CONTACT: Terry Townsend, Public Works Director <br />COST: Approximately $65,000-$75,000 (budgeted) <br />COUNCII, DATE: Consider for approval at City Council's December 10, 2001, regular Council meeting. <br />
