J <br />fi <br />Y.: <br />City of Saginaw <br />SPECIAL BOND ELECTION <br />EDIfiION <br />2000 Community Facilities gond Election <br />Overview <br />The City of Saginaw's August 12th Bond Election is the res4lt of many hours of research, <br />deliberations and decisions made by the City Council, City'staff, consultants and citizen <br />volqnteers. <br />The propositions on the ballot are based on input received fkom our citizens at the Vision <br />Meetings sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, our citizen advisory boards, and numerous <br />requests from the citizens we interact with on a daily basis. ' <br />The City of Saginaw has done an excellent job of addressing tpe infrastructure needs of our <br />growing city and can now focus on improvements in public safet~ and other quality of life issues. <br />Saginaw continues to be one of the fastest growing cities in rl'arrant County. Our current <br />population is estimated at 12,850 and is expected to grow to 19,000 in the next five years.
