We will do <br />everything that is legally allowed for our firm to reduce the values applied <br />by the state. <br />There are three important points that a district should consider when <br />looking at this issue: <br />1. Our law firm will be fair and honest. <br />2. We will work to obtain as much additional state aid for our clients as <br />is allowed without making extravagant promises. <br />3. Our staff of professionals will be the people performing the work on <br />your behalf. We will not expect an appraisal district's staff to do the <br />work and then take credit for what the appraisal district accomplished. <br />Property Yalue Study Appeals - For a fontingent Fee of 101/o, The Firm <br />Will: <br />• Provide complete prepazation of the appeal. <br />• Review the Comptroller's value estimates and ratios. <br />• Provide consultation on productivity values. <br />• Review each category of local data. <br />• Provide the submission of the appeal. <br />• Represent the District in all meetings and administrative heatings with <br />the Comptroller's office. <br />• Represent the District in State District Court to resolve value study <br />issues. <br />• Provide thorough reporting of the progress of the appeal process to the <br />School District and the Appraisal District. <br />School District Taxable Value Audits <br />Another important service provided by our firm is a Taacable Value Audit <br />for school districts. If a school district's taacable value has declined due to <br />exemptions, lawsuits or other specific causes, we can petition the <br />Comptroller's Property Tax Division to perform a Taxable Value Audit. <br />A favorable ruling can result in additional State aid or a reduction in <br />recapture payments.
