The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000-060 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PRIS, TEXAS, <br />ESTABLISHING MAXIMUM, REASONABLE, AND PRUDENT RATES OF SPEED <br />ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS AND HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC <br />PLACES IN THE CITY OF PARIS; PROVIDING FOR A FINE NOT TO EXCEED <br />$200.00; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE <br />SUBJECT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN <br />CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE, WAS <br />PRESENTED. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem <br />Manning, for adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-148, authorizing and directing the City Manager to <br />execute on behalf of the City of Paris a Lease Purchase Agreement with The <br />Associates, upon such terms and conditions as contained therein, atthe price <br />of $158,507.95, plus interest at the rate of 6.98% and costs, financing the <br />purchase of two (2) new 2001 F713042 GMC/Heil Sanitation Trucks from Lone <br />Star Truck Center and Heil Equipment Company, for the Sanitation Division of <br />the Public Works Department through the Houston-Galveston Area Council of <br />Governments, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Plata, <br />seconded by Councilman Gray, for approval of the resolution. The motion <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-149, authorizing and directing the City Manager to <br />execute on behalf of the City of Paris a purchase order for one (1) Hyundai <br />HL740TM-3 Wheel Loader and accompanying Werk-Brau Model WL2GR102-H <br />Grapple Rake for the Street Division of the Public Works Department, for a <br />total purchase price of $88,292.17, which represents the cost of the wheel <br />loader and grapple rake in the amount of $86,859.00, plus the cost of the <br />
