A motion was made by Councilman Gray, <br />seconded by Councilman Carter, for approval of the resolution. The motion <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-157, approving the plans forthe proposed State of Texas, <br />Texas Department of Transportation, Plans of Proposed State Highway <br />Improvement, Federal Aid Project STP01 (181) HES, Lamar County, Install <br />Highway Illumination, US 82/271 at Pine Mill Road, dated November 7, 2000, <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Carter, seconded by <br />Councilman Plata, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-158, approving the engineering services agreement with <br />Hayter Engineering for design of the "Pro Rata Sanitary Sewer Extension for <br />Cope Addition Project," and authorizing the Mayorto execute said agreement <br />on behalf of the City of Paris, was presented. <br />After discussing the length of time this project will take, a motion was made <br />by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, for approval <br />of the resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-159, authorizing and directing the City Manager to <br />execute on behalf of the City of Paris the purchase order for one (1) 873 G- <br />Series Bobcat Loaderforthe Parks and Right-of-Way Division of Public Works <br />Department for a total purchase price of $23,286.00, was presented. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, for <br />approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-160, accepting and approving the "Police and Municipal <br />Courts Facilities Study" prepared by Brinkley SargentArchitects, and directing <br />the City Manager and the City Attorney to negotiate and the Mayor is <br />authorized to execute a professional services contract with Brinkley Sargent <br />Architects, in accordance with a proposal for services, for preliminary design <br />and planning services in furtherance of a potential new Police and Municipal <br />Courts facility, was presented. <br />City Manager Malone said the gist of the study was that this firm looked at <br />
