<br />Resolution No. 2000-152, approving the plans and specifications for the
<br />"Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive Extension from 6t" Street N. E. west to N. Main
<br />Street Project," and authorizing advertisement, with bids to be received at the
<br />office of the City Manager, 135 1St Street S. E., Paris, Texas 75460, until 3:00
<br />P.M. on Tuesday, December 5, 2000, was presented. A motion was made by
<br />Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, for approval of
<br />the resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.
<br />Resolution No. 2000-153, approving the amendment to the current Bylaws of
<br />the Paris Public Library Advisory Board, to incorporate therein a new
<br />paragraph seven (7) under Officers and Members, to address the issue of
<br />attendance by board members, such that said Bylaws shall hereafter include
<br />said paragraph seven, was presented. A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem
<br />Manning, seconded by Councilman Carter, for approval of the resolution. The
<br />motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.
<br />Resolution No. 2000-154, approving the plans and specification for the "Long
<br />Avenue Water, Sewer, and Street Improvement Project", and authorizing the
<br />advertisement for bids to be received after due notice at the office of the City
<br />Manager of the City of Paris, was presented. A motion was made by
<br />Councilman Bell, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, for approval of the
<br />resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.
<br />Resolution No. 2000-155, authorizing and directing the City Manager to
<br />execute on behalf of the City of Paris, a purchase order for a new Physio-
<br />Control LifePak 12 Cardiac Defibrillator/Monitor with carrying case for the
<br />Emergency Medical Services Department from Medtronics Physio-Control
<br />Corporation, which is the sole source provider of such equipment, for a total
<br />purchase price of $19,495.00, was presented. A motion was made by
<br />Councilman Plata, seconded by Councilman Gray, for approval of the
<br />resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays,
<br />Resolution No. 2000-156, approving the forms of the Contract Change Notices
<br />Nos. 01 and 02 to the contract for Public Health Services, TDH Document No.
<br />7560022067-2001, that the execution by the City Manager on the 22nd day of
<br />August, 2000, on behalf of the City of Paris which is the authorized contracting
<br />entity for the performing agency, the Paris-Lamar County Health Department,
<br />of Contract Change Notice No. 1 regarding the Supplemental Nutrition
