City Council Meeting <br />October 9, 2000 <br />Page 6 <br />Resolution No. 2000-143, approving the form of the Contract Change <br />Notice No. 2 to the Contract for Public Health Services, TDH Document No. <br />75-60022067-00, and authorizing and directing the City Managerto execute <br />on behalf of the City of Paris the Contract Change Notice No. 2 to the <br />Contract for Public Health Service, was presented. A motion was made by <br />Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Bell, for approval of the <br />resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-144, accepting the COPS in School Grant Program in <br />the total amount of $374,340.00, and authorizing and directing the City <br />Manager to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the COPS in School <br />award, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded <br />by Councilman Plata, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-145, a Joint Resolution of the City Council of the City <br />of Paris, Paris, Texas, and the Commissioners Court of Lamar County, <br />Texas recognizing the dangers of alcohol use by young Texans; <br />supporting local enforcement of the state's underage drinking laws, was <br />presented. A motion was made by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by <br />Mayor Pro Tem Manning, forapproval of the resolution. The motion carried <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-146, authorizing and directing the City Manager to <br />execute on behalf of the City of Paris, a purchase order for two (2) 2001 <br />Ford F350 Type 1 Ambulances for a total purchase price of $163,213.95, <br />which represents the cost of the ambulances, which is $166,236.00, plus <br />the cost of the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments fee, which <br />is $2,477.95, less the value of the City's trade-in of $5,500.00, was <br />presented. A motion was made by Councilman Gray, seconded by <br />Councilman Carter, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-147, authorizing and directing the Mayor to execute <br />and the City Clerk to attest to a City Pride Sign Agreement between the City <br />of Paris and the Texas Department of Transportation, that the City Manager <br />and the Director of Public Works are hereby authorized to undertake all <br />action necessary to implement the City's participation in the City Pride <br />Program, was presented.
