The motion <br />carried 5 ayes, o nays. <br />City Manager Malone presented bids for furnishing and delivery of Liquid <br />Alum for use at the Water Treatment Plant, and the following bids were <br />presented: <br />General Chemical <br />GEO Specialty Chemicals <br />$107. 85 per ton <br />$200.19 per ton <br />A motion was made by Councilman Plata, seconded by Councilman Carter, to <br />award the bids to General Chemical in the amount of $107. 85 per ton. The <br />motion carried 5 ayes, o nays. <br />City Manager Malone presented bids for furnishing and delivery of Potassium <br />Permanganate for use at the Water Treatment Plant, and the following bids <br />were presented: <br />HCI Advance Chemical $1.255 <br />Carus Chemical Company $1.268 <br />Harcros Chemicals $1.330 <br />Delta Distributors, Inc. $1.380 <br />A motion was made by Councilman Plata, seconded by Councilman Carter, to <br />award the bids to Carus Chemical Company in the amount of $1.268 per lb. <br />The motion carried 5 ayes, o nays. <br />
