City Council Meeting <br />September 7, 2000 <br />Page 15 <br />City Manager Malone presented bids for furnishing and delivery of Sodium <br />Hydroxide for use at the Water Treatment Plant, and the following bids were <br />presented: <br />Delta Distributors <br />Altivia <br />DPC Industries <br />Harcros Chemicals <br />HCI Advance Chemicals <br />$285.00 per ton <br />$290.82 per ton <br />$300.00 per ton <br />$305.00 per ton <br />$305.00 per ton <br />A motion was made by Councilman Plata, seconded by Councilman Carter, to <br />award the bids to Delta Distributors in the amount of $285.00 per ton. The <br />motion carried 5 ayes, o nays. <br />City Manager Malone presented bids for furnishing and delivery of Fluosilicic <br />Acid for use at the Water Treatment Plant, and only one bid had been received, <br />that being from Harcros Chemicals in the amount of $3.39 per gallon. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Plata, seconded by Councilman Carter, to <br />award the bids to Harcros Chemicals in the amount of $3.39 per gallon. The <br />motion carried 5 ayes, o nays. <br />City Manager Malone presented bids for furnishing and delivery of Liquid <br />Sulfur Dioxide for use at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, and the following <br />bids were presented: <br />Delta Distributors <br />Harcros Chemicals <br />DPC Industries, Inc. <br />$520.00 per ton <br />$539.00 per ton <br />$585.00 per ton <br />A motion was made by Councilman Plata, seconded by Councilman Carter, to <br />award the bids to Delta Distributors in the amount of $520.00 per ton. The <br />motion carried 5 ayes, o nays. <br />
