He said that under capital items, Machinery Tools, and <br />Equipment the budget has been cut from $3,000.00 to $1,000.00 in the <br />proposed budget, and the communication system has been reduced to zero. <br />City Manager Malone discussed his car allowance with the City Council. <br />The next proposed budget that was discussed was the City Attorney's budget. <br />City Manager Malone said there is very little increase other than money that <br />has been placed in the contingency fund for the cost of living and possibly <br />reclassification. He said the City Attorney is requesting upgrade of the <br />Municipal Court Prosecutor/Assistant City Attorney to a full-time position. <br />City Manager Malone said that Office Supplies has been cut by $3,000.00 <br />because at the time the request was made that was for purchase of software and <br />licensing to utilize the Laserfische program, and that has been budgeted in the <br />City Clerk's Department. City Manager Malone advised that under Car <br />Allowance, the City Attorney has request adding an additional car allowance <br />of $3,000.00 annually for the Assistant City Attorney. City Manager Malone <br />said under the Capital Outlay , Furniture and Fixtures has been cut from <br />$2,500.00 to $1,500.00, and under Machinery, Tools, and Equipment it has <br />been cut by $1,000.00. <br />City Manager Malone presented the proposed budget for Municipal Court <br />Department. Under Personnel, City Manager Malone said this line item only <br />includes the Municipal Court Clerk and three deputy court clerks. He said <br />there is a request for certification pay which currently is not being received: <br />Level 1-$25.00 bi-weekly; Level II -$50.00 bi-weekly; ; Level III -$100.00 <br />bi-weekly. He said the Municipal Court Clerk would qualify for the Level II <br />pay now and the three deputy clerks would each qualify for the Level I, which <br />would add $1,950.00 annually for the three deputy Clerk. City Manager <br />Malone said the Municipal Judge is a contract employee and is budgeted under <br />the 0305 account, and he is paid hourly. City Manager Malone said there were <br />no other changes in the general expenditures. City Manager Malone said there <br />are capital items budgeted, which include programming maintenance under <br />contract, and program customization as required due to legislative changes . <br />
