City Council Meeting <br />February 12, 2001 <br />Page 15 <br />Connor, and on 24t" Street from Bonham to Graham, advising that all of <br />those projects have been completed. One project, 11t" N. W. to 12t" N. W. <br />on Graham Street is still under construction. He said it is hoped that <br />project will be completed next week. <br />City Manager Malone advised the City Council of a water line repair project <br />that is about to get underway in S. E. Paris. The project is the replacement <br />of an 8 inch pipe that serves Jefferson Heights. When the existing line <br />breaks, there is no other source of water to those citizens. City Manager <br />Malone said it is cast iron line and has broken numerous times and the city <br />is replacing approximately 5,000 LF which is expected to cost in the <br />neighborhood of $50,000.00. <br />The City Manager reported that the playground equipment has been <br />ordered for the Record Park Improvement Project and has been delivered <br />to the installerwho is certified to install GameTime Equipment. He advised <br />that there is a handout in the City Council's packet, and he expects this <br />project to be finished by the end of April. The cost for this project is <br />approximately $34,000.00. <br />City Manager Malone advised that there is approximately $12,000.00 worth <br />of work to replace all of the lighting on both of the baseball fields at <br />Culbertson Park. Hiebert Electric gave the lowest quote and they are <br />waiting for the fields to dry out in order to get their equipment in. <br />City Manager Malone reported the status of the Owner Occupied <br />Rehabilitation - Reconstruction Grant Program was approved tonight and <br />the city will be awarding the contracts to builders this week. He said by <br />the end of October it is hoped that we will have 15 houses built for low and <br />moderate income citizens. <br />The City Manager announced that there will be a City Council meeting at <br />Love Civic Center tomorrow night at 6:00 P. M., which is a public hearing <br />to receive input on uses for the Lake Crook property and the Lake Crook <br />Master Plan. He also said the City Council will be awarding the bids for <br />debris cleanup. City Manager Malone said he was working on formulating <br />a meeting for Monday, February 19, 2000, as there are citizens who want <br />to bring forth a petition for a Sports Complex and that meeting will provide <br />an opportunity to discuss those issues. <br />
