City Council Meeting <br />December 11, 2000 <br />Page 6 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-176, authorizing the City Clerk, Mattie Cunningham to <br />advertise for bids for a lease on property located on part of Lots 6 and 7, City <br />Block 251A, being number 1231 N. Main Street, Paris, Texas, said bids to be <br />received by 3:00 p.m. on a date certain as determined by the City Clerk, and <br />presented to the City Council at its next regular or special meeting for the <br />purpose of letting the same, was presented. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, for approval of the <br />resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-177, authorizing and directing the Mayor to execute on <br />behalf of the City of Paris, the tax resale deed and any and all documents <br />necessary to convey Lot 6-B, Block 101, being 4.00 acres in the City of Paris <br />on the tax rolls and records of the Lamar County Appraisal District, was <br />presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman <br />McCarthy, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-178, authorizing and directing the Mayor to execute on <br />behalf of the City of Paris the tax resale deed for Lot 4, Block 2, W. F. Campbell <br />Addition and any and all documents necessary to convey the property to Lyle <br />N. & Dianna Edwards in consideration of $525.00, was presented. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, for <br />approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-179, authorizing the City Manager to forward said list of <br />priority projects to the Texas Department of Transportation and to undertake <br />any further actions and discussions with said Department related to the <br />priority projects, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, <br />seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, for approval of the resolution. The <br />motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-180, authorizing the City Manager, in conjunction with the <br />City Attorney, to negotiate and execute an engineering services contract with <br />Hayter Engineering for preliminary design services, cost estimate services, <br />survey, engineering studies, soil testing services, and other similar services <br />as shall be necessary incident to identifying the various optional approaches <br />to drainage control for those drainage problems identified on property <br />
