City Council Meeting <br />December 11, 2000 <br />Page 5 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-172, authorizing and directing the City Manager to <br />execute on behalf of the City of Paris, a Lease Purchase Agreement with John <br />Deere Finance, upon such terms and conditions as contained therein, at the <br />price of $75,426.33, plus interest at the rate of 7.8% and costs, financing the <br />purchase of a John Deere 410E Backhoe Loader (upgraded to 410G) from <br />RUSH Equipment Company, for the Parks and Recreation Division of the <br />Public Works Department, through the Houston-Galveston Area Council of <br />Governments, was presented. A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem <br />Manning, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, for approval of the resolution. <br />The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-173, authorizing and directing the City Manager to <br />execute on behalf of the City of Paris a purchase order for the LaserFiche <br />imaging system, which includes the LaserFiche software package, the <br />LaserFiche Weblink software, scanning software, e-mail package, a Ricoh <br />IS450DE scanner, an Avision AC100C scanner, and installation and training for <br />a total purchase price of $44,920.00, was presented. A motion was made by <br />Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Plata, for approval of the <br />resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-174, authorizing and directing the City Manager to <br />execute on behalf of the City of Paris a purchase order for the AFIX Tracker <br />System, which includes the software, equipment, support, database, and <br />installation and training , for a total purchase of $24,125.00, was presented. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem <br />Manning, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-175, authorizing the City Manager, in conjunction with the <br />City Attorney and the City's consulting architect, to undertake a search for <br />appropriate sites for the new animal shelter, considering site limitations, <br />access fortraffic, neighborhood compatibility and engineering requirements; <br />and upon locating said site, to undertake any and all necessary negotiations <br />and preliminary offers to acquire and appropriate property for siting the new <br />animal shelter, subject to appropriate budgetary limitations and City Council <br />approval, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded <br />by Councilman Plata, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 <br />
