City Council Meeting <br />December 11, 2000 <br />Page 4 <br />Clerk to attest to a contract between the City of Paris and Family Haven Crisis <br />and Resource Center, Inc., to retain Family Haven Crisis and Resource Center, <br />Inc. as a service provider in aid of Criminal Justice Division Grant No. WF-99- <br />V30-13420-02 in working with representatives of the City of Paris Police <br />Department to provide services to assist in the reduction and prosecution of <br />violent crimes against women and to provide other services as set out in said <br />agreement, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded <br />by Councilman Plata, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-169, approving the acquisition of existing water lines and <br />other associated facilities and infrastructure in and along a portion of F. M. <br />195, the Wildwood Estates, and Smallwood Road from Lamar County Water <br />Supply District, and hereby authorize the City Manager, City Attorney, Finance <br />Director and other appropriate City officials to undertake any and all action <br />necessary to acquire the aforesaid lines in return for appropriate <br />compensation, was presented. A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem <br />Manning, seconded by Councilman Carter, for approval of the resolution. The <br />motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-170, authorizing and directing the City Manager to <br />execute on behalf of the City of Paris a purchase order with the Houston- <br />Galveston Area Council of Governments for six 2001 H. D. 3/4 Ton Reg. Cab <br />L.WB-87600#GVS pickup trucks from Triangle Chevrolet, Inc., for various <br />divisions of the Public Works Department for a total purchase price of <br />$122,107.42, was presented. A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, <br />seconded by Councilman McCarthy, forapproval of the resolution. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-171, authorizing and directing the City Manager to <br />execute on behalf of the City of Paris a Lease Purchase Agreement with <br />TYMCO, upon such terms and conditions as contained therein, at the price of <br />$112,382.50, plus interest at the rate of 6.15% and costs, financing the <br />purchase of one new TYMCO Model 600 Regenerative Air Sweeper (truck <br />mounted) from TYMCO for the Sanitation Division of the Public Works <br />Department through the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments, <br />was presented. A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, seconded by <br />Councilman McCarthy, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 <br />
