. � 4. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of George Ronald Shannon Sr. to designate a Historic District Overlay (HD), on Lot 20, City Block 131, being number 726 W. Sherman StYeet. Public hearing was declared open. A. The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition. George Shannon Sr., 726 West Sherman Street, property owner, spoke in favor of the petition. Mr. Shannon stated he wants to protect his home and plans on restoring it a little at a time. The home was built in 1909 by the Latimers and square nails were used throughout the home. B. No one spoke in opposition. Public hearing was declared closed. Commissioner Harper asked Mr. Shannon if he was aware of the rules and regulations associated with being in a Historical District. Mr. Shannon stated yes, he has spoken with several people and is aware that he will have to go before HPC if he changes anything on the outside of the building. Motion was made by Dennis Chalaire, seconded by Holland Harper to approve the petition. Motion carried 4-0. 5. Consideration of and action on the Preliminary Plat of Lot 1, Block A, East Paris Baptist Church 259 Addition, being number 725 N. Collegiate Drive. Shawn Napier reviewed the preliminary plat with commissioners. Motion was made by Holland Harper, seconded by James Price to approve the preliminary plat, subject to the City Engineer's recommendations. Motion carried 4-0. 6. Consideration of and action on the Final Plat of Lot 1, Block A, East Paris Baptist Church 259 Addition, being number 725 N. Collegiate Drive. Motion was made by Holland Harper, seconded by James Price to approve the final plat, subject to the City Engineer's recommendations. Motion carried 4-0. 7.
