City Council Minutes <br />January 14, 2002 <br />Page 19 <br />Manning, to allow city staff to negotiate with property owners for sites for a <br />new Police/Municipal Courts Building, and proof of that negotiation be <br />brought back to the City Council for their consideration. The motion carried <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Pfiester announced that the City Council would convene in Executive <br />Session pursuant to Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code, <br />Consultation with Attorney, to receive advice of legal counsel pertaining to <br />pending litigation regarding the following: <br />A. City of Paris, Texas v. City of Reno, Texas. <br />B. Donald R. Lewis, Jr., et al v. City of Paris <br />Mayor Pfiester declared the executive session open at 7:20 P.M. and the <br />regular session closed. Assistant City Clerk Tommy Haynes replaced City <br />Clerk Mattie Cunningham during the executive session. <br />At 7:26 P.M. Mayor Pfiester declared the executive session closed and the <br />regular session open. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was declared closed by Mayor <br />Pfiester. <br />MICHAEL J.
