City Council Minutes <br />January 14, 2002 <br />Page 18 <br />Mayor Pfiester announced that the next item on the agenda was to provide <br />direction to city staff regarding a request for tax abatement by S.I, <br />Management, Inc., and KG Properties, LLP, and advised it had been tabled at <br />a prior City Council meeting, and a motion to bring it from the table was in <br />order. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, seconded by Councilman <br />Plata, to bring the above item from the table. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 <br />nays. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, seconded <br />by Councilman McCarthy, to deny the request for a tax abatement or any other <br />incentives by S. L Management Inc., and KG Properties LLP. The motion <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Pfiester called for discussion of and action by motion on a tenant <br />waiting list policy for the new T-hangars at Cox Field Airport. <br />City Manager Malone advised that the Airport Advisory Board, by a vote of <br />five (5) to two (2), approved a recommendation to allow persons on the closed <br />waiting list to have first choice in the new hangar recently built. Two people <br />in the older hangars have made requests to move into the new hangar ahead of <br />the waiting list group. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Bell to support the recommendation of the <br />Airport Advisory Board. The motion was seconded by Councilman Plata, and <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone announced that the next item on the agenda was to <br />authorize city staff to negotiate with property owners for sites for a new <br />Police/Municipal Courts Building. <br />A motion was made by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem <br />
