If the City Council desired to consider these <br />ordinances, a motion to bring them from the table was in order. <br />A motion was made by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Plata, <br />to bring the ordinance revising Section 31-65(b) of the code of Ordinances of <br />the City of Paris and revising the Traffic Control Map to provide for maximum, <br />reasonable, and prudent rates of speed on certain portions of FM Highway 137, <br />and an ordinance revising Section 31-65(b) of the code of Ordinances of the <br />City of Paris and revising the Traffic Control Map to provide for maximum, <br />reasonable, and prudent rates of speed on certain portions of FM Highway 79, <br />from the table. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2002-002 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING MAXIMUM, REASONABLE, AND <br />PRUDENT RATES OF SPEED ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF CERTAIN <br />STREETS AND HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC PLACES IN THE CITY OF <br />PARIS; PROVIDING FOR A FINE NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; MAKING <br />OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN <br />CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE, WAS <br />PRESENTED. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Plata, seconded by Councilman Gray, for <br />adoption of the ordinance.
