BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution aze hereby in all <br />things approved. <br />Section 2. That Resolution No.2001-184, passed and adopted by the City Council on the <br />12th day of November, 2001, be, and the same is hereby, repealed. <br />Section 3. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, <br />on behalf of the City of Paris, a purchase order for one (1) 2002 Ford F350 Type 1 Ambulance <br />for a total purchase price of $87,723.95, which represents a base price for the ambulance of <br />$56,300.00, plus a Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments administrative fee of <br />$1,423.95, and in lieu of the value of the surplus vehicle for trade-in purposes, the City Council <br />hereby authorizes funds to be expended from a donation in the amount of $5,000.00 from the <br />Lamar County Chapter oF the American Red Cross, with the remaining unreimbursed trade-in <br />value of the surplus vehicle, in the amount of $10,503.00, to be paid in accordance with the <br />existing contract between Lamar Counry and the City of Pazis whereby Lamar Counry pays forty <br />percent (40%) and the City of Pazis pays sixty percent (60%) of the unreunbursed expense of <br />operating the ambulance service, for a total of $15,503.00. <br />Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this 14th day of January, 2002. <br />IVfichael J.
