RFCOLUTION NO. 2001-184 A RESOLUTION OF THE CI1"Y COUNCTT. OF TBE CTTY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PUCtCHASE ORDER FOR ONE (1) AMBULANCE THROUGH TFIE HOUSTON- GALVESTON AREA COUNCII. OF GOVERNMENTS; MAKING OTHER FINDIIVGS AND PRO'VISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROViDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Paris has been a member of the Cooperative Purchasing Program through the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments since October 1, 1990; and, WAEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the City of Pazis purchase an atnbulance replacement for Medic 2 through said Houston-Galveston Area Council'of Governments; and, WHEREAS, it is further dxmed appropriate that the City Manager be auffiorized to execute a purchase order for one ( 1) 2002 Ford F350 Type 1 Ambulance for a total purchase price of $72,220.95, which represents the cost of the aznbulance, which is $86,300.00, plus the cost of the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments fee, which is $1,423.95, less the value of the City's trade-in, which is $15,503.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TFIE CITY COiJNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preaznble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, a purchase order for one (1) 2002 Ford F350 Type 1 Ambulance for a total purchase price of $72,220.95, which represenu the cost of the ambulance, which is $86,300.00, plus the cost of the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments fee, which is $1,423.95, less the value of the City's trade-in, which is $15,503.00.
