Section 4. That the request for the City to transfer said ambulance to the Lamar County <br />Chapter of the American Red Cross is hereby approved, and the City Council hereby directs that the <br />remaining value of said ambulance as a trade-in, after contribution by Lamar County in the amount <br />of $7,751.50, shall be paid in a like amount of $7,751.50 by the City of Paris. <br />Section 5. That because of the overwhelming public purpose to be served as specified in this <br />resolution by using said surplus vehicle as a disaster relief vehicle, the aforesaid surplus vehicle is <br />hereby authorized for transfer to the Lamar County Chapter of the American Red Cross, provided <br />said vehicle shall hereafter be used as a disaster relief vehicle and not as an ambulance. Provided <br />further that, before said vehicle shall be used as a disaster relief vehicle, lettering, markings, <br />equipment, and other manifestations of the vehicle identifying it as an ambulance shall be removed, <br />and all lighting shall be converted to conform with appropriate State standards for use as a disaster <br />relief vehicle and not as an ambulance. <br />Section 6. That prior Resolution No. 2002-002 adopted on January 14, 2002, is hereby in <br />all things repealed. <br />Section 7. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this l lth day of February, 2002. <br />Michael J.
