He has heen an
engineer for over 52,000,000,000 in construdion in the United States and Mexico. Dr. Petrasek worked as the chief of in-house
~ pilot and demonstration scale research for the U. S. EPA's Office of Research and Development, Cincinnati, Ohio for several years.
~ In that position, Dr. Petrasek had responsibiliry for the Agenry's research program far instrumentation and controls, and a
significant amount of work was conduded evaluating different rypes of flow meters, and establishing standards and criteria for the
9 corred installotion and operation of the instruments.
3 Dr. Petrasek has extensive experience in the design of ineter instollations, and in the operating and maintenance issues associated
3 with metering. Dr. Petrasek is a former employee of Dallas Water Utilities, and he hnd operational responsi6ility of the
I Department's R&D facilities, which hos 15 magnetic flow meters, ten turbine meters,l5 orfice meters, and four venturi meters.
I Relevant Project Experience
3 • Design, Construdion, and Operation of Flow Test Stond, Projed Manager, U. S. EPA, (incinnati, Ohio. This projed inciuded the
~ design, construction, and operotion of a flow test stand to calihrate flow meters. The test stand included a water recirculation
loop, high-speed diverter valves, pumps, water storage fanks, gravimetric water tonk, and scales. The unit wos designed to
~ operate on water Flow meters with a maximum size of eight-inches and provide NIST traceable accurary to 0.05 percent. The
~ high accurary is required to verift meters with a stated accurary of 0.5 percent.
~
'
~
~
'
