A pre-bid conference is set for the 29th and the proposals would be due back by May 15. A committee to review the proposals could be comprised of two members of the Commissioners Court, a representative from each participating city and one representative from the medical community, who would have expertise to know whether these companies would be able to perform as they say they would. That committee would meet on May 15 and 16 and be ready to make a recommendation May 17. Contract negotiations would start then and be completed by the end of May so that the new contract would be here not later than the first week of August.
