Planning and Zoning Meeting <br />July 2, 2002 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br /> Two-Family Dwelling District (2F), Lots 2 & 3, City Block 300, being <br />the 500 Block 24th N-W. <br /> <br />Motion was made to deny by Curtis Fendley and seconded by Eddie <br />Vincent. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 2 nays. <br /> <br />Public Hearing to consider the petition of Mack Ross for a change in <br />zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF-2) to a One- <br />Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF-3), Lot 5-A, City Block 294, being <br />the 3000 Block of Aikin Drive. <br /> <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br />Mack Ross, 3475 Reno Drive, spoke in favor of the petition and <br />presented a plat of property showing the lots. He gave a history of <br />property. Mr. Ross would like to build affordable housing on the <br />property. He stated that he might do a Primrose type subdivision but <br />needs One-Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF-3) zoning so he can get <br />smaller lots. Mr. Ross stated that big lots will not be needed next to the <br />school and since many people now days do not like to mow big lots, he <br />is requesting Single Family zoning. The houses would be a minimum <br />of 1200 square feet. Sewer would have to be built to serve the lots. <br /> <br />Wayne Kerby, 360 30th NE, stated that the north side of Ross's~roperty <br />abuts his south property line and he has concerns about drainage from <br />his property to Ross's property. <br /> <br />Mr. Ross stated that the street was designed to handle the water and he <br />will take care of the drainage. <br /> <br />There was no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Consideration of and action on the petition of Mack Ross for a change <br />in zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF-2) to a One- <br /> <br /> <br />
