Planning and Zoning Meeting <br />July 2, 2002 <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Motion made to excuse Cleveland Thomas from the meeting by Bobby <br />Myers and seconded by Marshall Kent. Motion carried by a vote of 6 <br />ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Mr. Daryl Coats, Rt. 1, Detroit, stated that he owns apartments <br />adjacent to the property and does not allow loud music on his property <br />and would not like the increased noise a car wash would create. Mr. <br />Coats said that if distance barriers were put in, he would consider. <br /> <br />Mary Thompson, 2940 Margaret, stated she had concerns about the <br />noise, lights, and security at the car wash. <br /> <br />Bonnie Guest, 2935 Margaret, opposed the zoning change. <br /> <br />There was no further opposition, the public hearing was declared <br />closed. <br /> <br />0 <br /> <br />Consideration of and action on the petition of Leann Sartor for a <br />change in zoning from a General Retail District (GR) to a General <br />Retail District (GR) With Specific Use Permit No. (3) Auto Laundry, <br />Lot 21, City Block 249, being number 2926 Lamar Avenue. <br /> <br />Motion was made to deny by Bobby Myers and seconded by Marshall <br />Kent. Motion carried by a vote of 4 ayes and 2 nays. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Eddie Vincent for Curtis Fendley to return to the <br />meeting and seconded by Marshall Kent. Motion carried by a vote of <br />6 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />Public Hearing to consider the site plan approval requested by Maxine <br />Cooper, Lots 8 & 9, Block 1, Pine Bluff Addition, being the 1400 Block <br />E.
